Fun drama brings toys to life

A BRAUERCollege drama class brought the Warrnambool City Kindergartentoy chest to lifeon Thursday.

Josh Bartlett, 15, said the 26 year 9/10 students had spent two weeks rehearsing thepantomime written specifically for the children.

”It’s about a bunch of toys from the kinder and what happens when all the children leave and they’re left by themselves,”Josh said.

Kinder teacher Sophie Johnstone said the students incorporated some of the children’s names and their favourite kinder toys into the play.

“They came and talked to the kids andgot ideas from them, which they’veincluded in the play,” Miss Johnstone said.

“We’ve never had something like this. They’re excited to see the ‘bigkids’.”
