Millar takes monthly medal win with 68

THIS Sunday sees the golf/bowls sports day being held after it was cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to the inclement weather.The golf is a shotgun start at 1pm.

With the great rain over the last few weeks and the coring of the greens sees the outdoor staff extremely busy of late and with their dedication the course is now in fantastic condition. With the warmer weather approaching they will get busier and if you are interested in helping with mowing, etc, contact the staff.

Last Saturday’s monthly medals were held with Scott Millar’s 68 giving him the A-grade medal with Justyn Smith runner-up with a 69. Graeme Cheshire won the scratch ball with a 71 off the stick.

B-grade and the Guzzlers Mug went to Geoff Forsyth with a scratch score of 66 from runner-up Jamie Smith with 68. Geoff also won the scratch ball with his 79 off the stick.

C-grade went to young Reece Badcock with a great net score of 63. Because Reece is a junior he was unable to win the guzzlers mug. Clarrie Power was runner up with his 70 net and he also won the scratch ball with a 90 off the stick.

Nearest the pins went to Geoff Black on three, Reece Badcock on nine and Bob Beath on 16.

Ball winners were: Reece Badcock 63, Geoff Forsyth 66, Jamie Smith, Scott Millar 68, Wayne Loiterton, Jarrod Loiterton, Justyn Smith 69, Clarrie Power, Bob Beath, P Buckman, Mark O’Connor 70, Garry Mason, Graeme Cheshire 71, Darryl O’Keefe and David Hume 73 on count back.
