Gladys Growden’s beautiful voice belies her age –she loves to sing evergreen classics with her favourite being Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Mrs Growdenwas surrounded by many friends and family at her Settlers Apartmenthome on Thursday to mark the significant occasion.

Mrs Growden’s son, Ron, who isin his 80s, is also a resident at Settlers Village.

Settlers Village manager Steve McCrea said Mrs Growden has been a resident at the retirement village for 10 years.

She was born in South Australia, but her family moved to Coleambally in 1960 to develop rice farms.

Her husband, Roy, died in 1993.
