The extra detail on the projects, funded through the council’s 2015-16 capital budget, is now available.

The works are funded in part by the recent 10.8 per cent rate rise.

The council committed to publishing information about how the additional funding received through the rate rise would be spent.

Wollondilly Council’s general manager Luke Johnson said the council understood that the community wanted to know how and when the council were using the extra funds to maintain and replace assets.

‘‘This gives the opportunity for the community to stay in touch with our program and hold us to account as we put their rates to work,” he said.

The program sets out the expanded list of projects the council will be working on this financial year using the additional funding from the special rate variation, funds that had been available to use without the rate rise as well as significant grants.

The rate rise is factored into the costs of the program.

The key road projects include Remembrance Driveway between Bridgewater and Finns Road, Remembrance Driveway between Tahmoor and Bargo, Remembrance Driveway at Cawdor, Silverdale Road at The Oaks and the completion of Menangle Road south of Menangle Village.

West Parade at various locations, Bridge Street, Thirlmere Way, Burragorang Road, Silverdale Road through Silverdale and Warragamba and various local access roads will also be major works.

Other projects include the pavement reconstruction program, drainage works at the Bargo Sportsground and the library upgrade.
